Bio

Lisette Davis is a independent rum specialist, chocolatier, and hotelier. The vivacious, eclectic entrepreneur, a proud Grenadian by heritage has spent the last eleven years mastering in rum – a passion that culminated in her decision to open a quaint Guesthouse on the island of Grenada featuring all things rum. Rumboat Retreat – the fitting title for the rum-focused inn, immerses guests in rum pairings, rum-master classes and rum-infused cuisine to list a few. It’s unique focus on rum has landed Davis riveting features in the Times Travel, the New York Times, Luxuria Lifestyle, E-Turbo News and in the inflight magazines of British Airways, and LIAT, to name a few. 

Most recently, Davis’ fascination with the spirit, led to the creation of Gabu – rum-infused speciality bonbon chocolates, which Davis hand crafts herself from start to finish. The Bespoke chocolates are made with Davis’s stamp of approval and are a specialty of upscale events. In her spare time, the former Caribbean Development Manager for Plantation Rum, travels the world judging competitions in Germany, Spain, France, and the Bahamas, to name a few, as well as offering rum pairings and master classes on behalf of the Grenada Tourism Authority, and  to private clients in luxury resorts, yachts, and on private islands.
